Recently, Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction), the investor for component 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, discovered numerous street light poles at the intersection with the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway had their wires cut and stolen by thieves. The incident impacted traffic safety as this section of the road was preparing for operation in April.
After several days of surveillance, in the early morning of 4/4, criminal detectives from Dong Nai Police, in coordination with Phuoc Thai Commune Police, caught Le Thanh Nguyen in the act of cutting and coiling electrical wires on the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway's access road.
At the scene, police seized 40 meters of electrical wire, iron pliers, a knife, a flashlight, and a motorbike. Expanding the investigation, police raided Tran Ngoc Huan's house, seizing 90 kg of copper wire cores and over 100 kg of plastic wire casings that Huan had purchased from Nguyen.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway spans nearly 54 km, features 4-6 lanes, and has a total investment of approximately 17,800 billion VND. The section from Long Thanh intersection to Vung Tau is largely complete, with the investor finalizing technical stages and documentation in preparation for temporary operation.
