Thuan Giao Ward Police on 29/12 detained 5 individuals for allegedly attacking a young man, leaving him severely injured in Hoa Lan 2 neighborhood.

The incident occurred on the evening of 28/12 when the group, armed with weapons, arrived in Thuan Giao ward. They spotted their 'opponent' drinking by the roadside and immediately gave chase. After cornering the victim, the group launched an attack, inflicting injuries. They also struck their weapons on the road, seemingly to intimidate, causing panic among passersby.

The assault ceased only when someone shouted that "police are coming", prompting the assailants to flee on their vehicles. The entire event was recorded by residents on their phones and subsequently shared on social media.

Following the incident, Thuan Giao Ward Police initiated an investigation, leading to the summoning of the 5 suspects to the police headquarters this morning. During questioning, the group admitted to having a prior acquaintance and an ongoing dispute with the victim, stating they had sought him out with weapons to "settle the matter".
