Driver charged after blocking traffic police headquarters entrance with car

Mercedes driver Hoang Xuan Khoat is accused of taking his violation file to his car, locking the doors, and blocking the police headquarters entrance for four hours.

On 13/4, Phu Tho Provincial Police announced that Hoang Xuan Khoat, 62, from Mai Son commune, Son La province, has been charged with disrupting public order.

According to investigators, Khoat's actions infringed upon the proper functioning of a state agency and affected security and public order.

The incident began around 8 a.m. on 2/3, when Khoat arrived at Cluster 10, Tan Lac Traffic Police Station, under the Phu Tho Provincial Police Traffic Police Department. He was there to resolve an administrative violation for exceeding the speed limit. During the administrative process, Khoat was granted access to his violation file.

Investigators determined that Khoat took advantage of this access, unilaterally taking his violation file to his Mercedes GLA 50 car. He then locked the car doors and refused to cooperate with police officers. Despite repeated requests from officers and unit commanders to return the file, Khoat did not comply.

Around 1:30 p.m., Khoat drove his car to block the entrance of the Tan Lac Traffic Police Station. This obstruction directly hindered the duties of the authorities and lasted until 5:15 p.m.

The police advised citizens to strictly comply with legal regulations when interacting with authorities and to refrain from obstructing, resisting, or disrupting order at state agencies.
