The penalty decision, issued by the Vung Ang Ward Police, was announced on 10/9 and is based on Decree 144/2021.

On July 4th, the 28-year-old man called the Ministry of Public Security hotline. He reported that while driving, he was stopped by a traffic police officer who accepted money from him in exchange for overlooking a traffic violation.

The Ha Tinh Provincial Police investigated the report and confirmed that the alleged incident did not occur.

When questioned, the man admitted to filing the false report. He explained his motive was to see if the hotline was functional and whether authorities would investigate the claim.
