Marianela Cabrera Mosquera, 47, is currently facing disciplinary action after posting numerous videos on TikTok that investigators deem inappropriate. The judge, who boasts over 430,000 followers on her account, has earned the nickname "the world's most glamorous judge" for sharing aspects of her personal life online.
However, investigators argue that the criminal court judge's extensive use of social media could undermine public trust in the justice system. The National Judicial Disciplinary Commission stated that it found 48 videos containing "suggestive and provocative images" after reviewing 658 videos on Marianela's TikTok account. Some of the judge's outfits in these videos were deemed too revealing.
During a disciplinary hearing on 4/12 in Florencia city, Caqueta province, Marianela defended her actions, stating: "When you are a good employee, working effectively and productively, you can expect recognition from your employer. But in the judiciary, there is no such recognition, only oppression through disciplinary procedures." She believes she is being persecuted simply for "having a personal hobby, a pastime that does not affect the performance of her duties."

The commission is also investigating whether some videos were filmed while the judge was present at the courthouse. Witnesses stated they did not see Marianela filming videos during working hours or in her court office. However, they acknowledged similarities between the bookshelves, desks, and other furniture in the videos and those found at the courthouse.
The commission concluded that judges must always maintain exemplary conduct, warning that social media posts like Marianela's could damage public confidence in justice.

Marianela rejected these accusations, calling them sexist and discriminatory against women. She claims she is being criticized for wearing low-cut tops in her videos. The 47-year-old judge said other female colleagues have contacted her, reporting similar treatment.
Marianela's legal team argued that the TikTok posts do not affect her work at the court. Following the hearing, Marianela will face a judicial disciplinary panel to review her misconduct and determine a penalty.
