Around noon on 15/4, residents heard desperate screams emanating from a rented housing area on Pham Kinh Vy street in Truong Vinh ward, formerly part of Vinh City.

Upon gaining entry, they found Thuy, 22, and a young man, both from Thanh Hoa province, collapsed on the floor amidst numerous bloodstains.

Thuy was pronounced dead at the scene, having sustained multiple stab wounds. The young man suffered deep neck injuries, believed to be caused by a sharp object, and is currently receiving emergency medical care at a hospital.

According to authorities, Thuy was a final-year student at a university in Vinh. The young man had visited her at her rented room earlier that same day.

Truong Vinh Ward Police are currently working with specialized units of the Nghe An Provincial Police to secure the crime scene and collect statements from individuals involved, as they investigate the incident's cause.
