Initial investigations revealed that a 16-year-old 10th-grade student at Viet Xo No. 1 Vocational College had a conflict with two classmates.

On 19/5, during a break, these two students, along with others, ganged up and assaulted the victim.

The assault occurred in the school's 8th-floor girls' restroom, where the group repeatedly beat the victim. They also filmed the incident on a phone, sending the video to friends and distributing it on social media.

Following the incident, the female student suffered injuries and psychological trauma. She received initial treatment at Lac Viet Phuc Yen Friendship Hospital before being transferred to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital for ongoing care.

During police questioning, the involved students admitted to assaulting the victim and to recording and posting the video online.

Police stated that the group's violent assault severely violated the victim's health, honor, and dignity.
