Two days prior, Tan had a dispute with a colleague at the same company. The two argued and challenged each other, agreeing to "settle" the matter after work hours.
Around 6:15 p.m., after work, Tan called Chau Van Loan, 26, and Nguyen Minh Kha, 24, for support. Loan drove Kha on a motorcycle, carrying a machete, and waited at the company gate in Song Than Industrial Park, Di An Ward.
When Tan's colleague exited the gate, the group rushed him, using helmets to strike his head. Loan then brandished the machete, escalating the situation into chaos as both sides chased each other onto Thong Nhat Avenue.
The incident lasted about 5 minutes, occurring just as workers were leaving for the day, causing panic among many. Immediately after receiving the report, Di An Ward Police coordinated with criminal police forces to apprehend those involved.
At the police station, the group admitted their actions. Preliminary findings by police indicate the incident was aggressive, demonstrating a disregard for the law, and disrupted local security and order.
