Quang Tri police reported on 27/7 that they had received a request to apprehend Quynh from the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and Hanoi police the previous day.

Quynh was wanted for resisting arrest, robbery, possession of military weapons, and illegal drug possession. The incident took place on Phan Trong Tue Street, Dai Thanh Commune, Hanoi.

Quang Tri police, in coordination with the Lao Bao International Border Guard and other forces, immediately launched a search for the suspect.

Around 2 p.m. the same day, Quang Tri police apprehended Quynh and a taxi driver near the Vietnam-Laos border, adjacent to the Lao Bao International Border Crossing. Quynh was about to cross the border.

Police seized two handguns from Quynh, one of which was loaded. A rapid test revealed that he was positive for narcotics.

Quang Tri police transferred Quynh and the seized items to Hanoi police for further investigation.
