Hanoi police are investigating Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, a resident of Lang ward, for alleged tax evasion on her online luxury goods business. Six of Huong's employees, responsible for order processing, shipping, message management, and advertising, have also been summoned for questioning. The Hanoi Police Department announced the investigation on July 10.
Huong operated primarily through the Facebook fanpage and groups named "Hyclothet – New things by hy," selling a variety of high-end accessories, handbags, watches, and diamonds from luxury brands like Versace, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Hermes. Police suspect she has been evading taxes since 2020.

Initial investigations suggest Huong's business generated over 834 billion VND in revenue. However, she allegedly failed to declare and pay taxes, resulting in an estimated 12.5 billion VND in unpaid taxes.
During searches of Huong's residence, livestreaming location, and warehouse on July 9, authorities seized a large quantity of luxury handbags, watches, diamonds, and other accessories with an estimated value of nearly 10 billion VND. Much of the seized merchandise lacked invoices and documentation proving its origin.
