Husband dead, wife injured in suspected jealousy dispute

The body of Le Hoang Hai, 52, was found inside his home; nearby, his seriously injured wife and a blood-stained hammer were discovered.

On 22/4, Dong Thap Provincial Police announced they are investigating a murder case in Tan Hoa commune, Dong Thap province.

Around 8 PM yesterday, Tan Hoa Commune Police received a report of a murder at a house in Thanh Nhung 2 hamlet. Officers were dispatched to verify the information.

At the scene, authorities found Le Hoang Hai deceased on a hammock, with multiple head injuries. The tiled floor around him was covered in blood, and a blood-stained wooden-handled hammer lay nearby. His wife, Tran Thi Thanh Tuyet, 52, was also severely injured and was taken by family members to Go Cong Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Investigators suspect the incident stemmed from a jealousy-fueled dispute.
