In early 3, ACV issued a notice regarding the arrest of several senior leaders. According to the notice, Vu The Phiet, while serving as chairman of ACV's Board of Directors, and Nguyen Tien Viet, a member of the Board of Directors, deputy general director in charge of ACV's Executive Board, and director of the Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board, were prosecuted and temporarily detained. These actions stemmed from accusations of violating bidding regulations causing exceptionally serious consequences. Phiet is specifically accused of "receiving money to facilitate contractors winning bids."
Subsequently, on 18/3, the Standing Board of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Anti-Waste, and Anti-Negativity agreed to place the case at ACV and related units under monitoring and guidance, highlighting the significance of the investigation.
