The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on 24/5 on Le Mao street, Thanh Vinh ward (formerly part of Vinh City). It began with a conflict between two groups of over 10 people after a drinking session, which then escalated into a brawl.

During the altercation, a young man got into a white 5-seater car, started the engine, and drove directly towards the opposing group standing on the street. He ran over one man before driving away from the scene.
Many residents witnessed the event. The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Vinh City General Hospital for emergency treatment.
On the morning of 25/5, Thanh Vinh Ward Police confirmed they are working with those involved and actively searching for the driver.
