On 18/4, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police announced the temporary detention of Le Duc Anh, residing in Thanh Khe ward, for investigation into alleged rape and appropriation of property.

Around 8:00 on 8/4, Anh allegedly used deceit to ask a 22-year-old woman to his home in An Khe ward for personal assistance. According to authorities, when the woman went to a second-floor bedroom, he locked the door, restrained her, and forced her into sexual intercourse.

When Anh discovered the woman had no money, he allegedly forced her to leave her phone before allowing her to leave the house. That evening, the suspect reportedly sold her phone for 26 million dong.

Anh later purchased a similar phone to return to the woman and then fled his residence.

Upon his arrest, he admitted to all the acts.
