Vinh, needing money, used an intimate video of his ex-girlfriend for blackmail. He posted the video publicly and shared it with her relatives.

He demanded 30 million VND from his ex-girlfriend to remove the video. She agreed and met him at the Tan Chau ferry with the money, but Vinh insisted on going to a secluded area to receive it. When she refused, he forced her into his vehicle.

Bystanders intervened, rescued the woman, and contacted the police. Vinh confessed to his actions at the police station.
