Police in Ca Mau province are investigating a homicide that occurred in hamlet 5, An Xuyen ward on the evening of 8/7, which has caused public unrest.

Initial investigations reveal that Loc arrived home from work around 3:30 PM and heard noises inside. Upon entering, he got into an argument with his 33-year-old brother, which escalated into a physical fight, resulting in the brother's death.

Residents reported the incident to authorities. When police arrived, Loc's brother was deceased.

An official from the An Xuyen ward People's Committee (UBND) stated that Loc and his brother lived with their mother and several nieces and nephews. Both men were day laborers, and the family had been drinking earlier that day.
