The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province announced on 10/7 that Le Trung Thanh, a 47-year-old resident of Thien Cam commune, was fined 12.5 million VND for violating domestic violence laws under Decree 144/2021.

The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on 25/4, when a domestic dispute led Thanh to assault his 49-year-old wife with a wooden stick, causing injuries.

Authorities stated that Thanh was not required to provide further remedies, as his wife did not request compensation for medical expenses or a public apology.
