On 15/2, the Da Nang City Police Investigation Agency announced it has initiated legal proceedings and temporarily detained Ho Van Long, 28, residing in Thang An commune, Da Nang City. He is under investigation for using computer networks, telecommunication networks, and electronic devices to misappropriate assets.

According to the investigation, on the evening of 31/8/2025, a 34-year-old man residing in Thang Truong commune, Da Nang City, reported that a burglar broke into his home, stealing several items, including a mobile phone. Investigators determined that after obtaining the victim's phone, Long managed to unlock the device and illegally access its internal data. Long then used the victim's phone number to register a ZaloPay e-wallet account, which he linked to the victim's bank account. He subsequently performed multiple transactions, transferring approximately 100 million VND from the bank account to the e-wallet.

Long reportedly used the misappropriated funds to deposit into and play the "No Hu" game on an online betting website.

The investigation agency is continuing to consolidate records and expand the case to clarify all related details.
