Mother and daughter steal from multiple tourists in Nha Trang

Nguyen Thi Loan, her daughter, and an accomplice targeted foreign tourists on Nha Trang beach, stealing their valuables for personal gain.

On 13/4, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police temporarily detained Nguyen Thi Loan (49, residing in Tay Nha Trang ward), her daughter Nguyen Thi Thu (residing in Bac Nha Trang ward), and Nguyen Tuan Tien (38, residing in Nha Trang ward).

According to the investigation, the suspects are a professional group with multiple prior convictions for property theft. Thu and Tien were responsible for identifying vulnerable tourists, then signaling and acting as lookouts for Loan to commit the thefts.

Using this method, from 2/4 to 9/4, the three suspects successfully carried out 6 thefts, stealing 9 high-value phones and 400 USD from tourists. The group sold the stolen property and divided the money for their personal expenses.
