On the afternoon of 15/6, Hung reported to the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Police. Two days earlier, his alleged accomplice, Nguyen Tien Loc, 23, residing in Hai Ba Trung Ward, had been arrested.

Investigations reveal that Loc and a 21-year-old woman were formerly in a relationship but had broken up. On the evening of 10/6, upon seeing his ex-girlfriend with another man near the Tran Hung Dao gas station in Cua Nam Ward, Loc had an altercation with the man.

Around 11 PM that same day, Loc and Hung again intercepted the man as he was taking the woman home on Mai Hac De Street. Attacked, the victim drove away to the area of 138 Le Duan, crashing into a beer establishment.

Loc and Hung pursued him, abandoned their vehicle in the middle of the road, and then stormed in, repeatedly punching and kicking the victim. One of them also used a water pipe to strike the victim's head multiple times.

Faced with the group's aggression, bystanders did not dare to intervene. As they left, Loc also slapped his ex-girlfriend in front of many people.

Police are currently consolidating their case files to prosecute the two suspects.
