According to the indictment, on the afternoon of 10/11/2025, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, residing in Lao Bao commune, transferred money via a mobile application. During the transaction, she inadvertently transferred nearly 500 million dong to an account under the name NGUYEN THE LU.

mot day later, Lu reported to Quang Tri Ward Police that his account had received money mistakenly transferred by someone else. After receiving the report, the police instructed Lu to file a report, provide bank statements, and continue to cooperate in verifying and resolving the mistaken transfer according to regulations.

However, Lu did not cooperate. On the same day, Thuy reported the incident to Quang Tri Ward Police.

In the following days, the ward police and Thuy repeatedly requested the return of the mistakenly transferred money, but Lu did not cooperate.

In mid-January, the Quang Tri Provincial Police Investigation Agency arrested Lu for illegal appropriation of property. In early April, Quang Tri Ward Police transferred the nearly 500 million dong back to Thuy.
