Lam Dong provincial police detained Thanh on 6/7 for investigation into the charge of intentional injury leading to death.

Initial investigations indicate that around 10:30 PM yesterday, Thanh's 55-year-old father returned home to Tuyen Quang commune (formerly Binh Thuan) intoxicated and began arguing with his wife. Witnessing his father verbally and physically abusing his mother, Thanh intervened.

During the altercation, Thanh kicked his father in the stomach multiple times, causing him to collapse. The victim was taken to the hospital but later died.

Investigators examined the scene, requested a forensic autopsy, and are currently questioning those involved.
