Thai Nguyen Provincial Police are investigating an incident where hundreds of people gathered around a car, obstructing traffic and filming a suspected jealousy attack late on 23/9. The crowd, which formed near the Bac Son overpass in Phan Dinh Phung ward, was eventually dispersed by authorities.

The incident began when a red car stopped near the base of the Bac Son overpass. Many passersby, suspecting a jealousy-fueled confrontation, stopped their vehicles to observe. The gathering quickly swelled to hundreds of people, completely surrounding the car. Many used their phones to record videos and livestream the scene, leading to significant traffic congestion in the area.

Videos circulating on social media showed at least one girl inside the vehicle. Onlookers stood close to the car, shining their phone lights and pointing cameras at the girl to record the event.

On the afternoon of 24/9, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police reported that authorities arrived at the scene to disperse the crowd and brought those involved to the police station for questioning. The provincial police are coordinating with Phan Dinh Phung Ward Police to verify the cause and circumstances of the incident.

While the incident remains under investigation, authorities have urged the public not to gather, livestream, or share unverified information. They also advised against disseminating images or videos containing identifying information or personal data of individuals involved without prior permission.
