After the Ministry of Education and Training announced graduation exam scores on the morning of 1/7, the results from Tuyen Quang specialized high school attracted significant attention.
Over 290 of the 328 candidates, whose registration numbers fell between 080163xx and 080166xx (08 being the provincial code), scored 9 or higher in math. Of these, more than 140 achieved perfect scores. The school's average math score was 9,58, the highest in the country.
Yesterday morning, the Ministry of Education and Training dispatched a working group to Tuyen Quang, citing concerns that the national high school graduation exam math scores in the province required further scrutiny.
During a meeting on the evening of 3/7, Phan Huy Ngoc, Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, stressed the need for a thorough and decisive investigation into the matter, emphasizing "no forbidden zones and no exceptions." He called for prompt action against any wrongdoing and an early official conclusion. He also instructed the education sector and Tuyen Quang specialized high school to cooperate with authorities while ensuring student and parent morale remains stable.
