Teenager confesses to sexual assault after drinking party

Ho Van Hiep admitted to assaulting his intoxicated host after a drinking party.

Police in Tra Linh commune arrested and charged 17-year-old Ho Van Hiep with rape on the evening of 28/7, under Article 141 of the penal code.

In the early hours of 14/7, Hiep was drinking at a woman's home in Tra Linh commune. He allegedly assaulted her while she was intoxicated and unable to defend herself, then fled the scene.

The victim reported the incident to the commune police on 16/7. Hiep turned himself in on the morning of 25/7.

The investigation is ongoing.
