Three individuals who escaped from An Giang detention center apprehended

Police have apprehended three of the four individuals who escaped from detention center no. 2; the remaining suspect is currently wanted.

On 11/1, An Giang provincial police announced the arrest of Bach Thanh Len (27), Vo Ngoc Son (20), and Nguyen Minh Luan (34). These arrests occurred three days after the group escaped from detention center no. 2.

The fourth escapee, La Hoang Hon (27), is now the subject of a nationwide manhunt. He is wanted for escaping from detention, an offense specified under clause 1, article 386 of the penal code.

According to the investigation, the escape took place on the morning of 9/1. On the afternoon of 8/1, correctional officers at Giong Rieng temporary detention sub-camp - facility 1 (detention center no. 2) conducted a roll call, confirming all detainees were present in cell no. 3. However, the next morning, Son, Len, Hon, and Luan exploited an oversight to escape from the facility.

Prior to their escape, Son, Len, and Hon were being held on charges of illegal possession of narcotics. Luan was detained for rape.

An Giang provincial police urged the public to immediately report any sightings of La Hoang Hon to authorities. They assured that all information provided would be kept confidential. Individuals who harbor or conceal him will face prosecution according to the law.
