According to initial information, on the evening of 26/7, Minh Thuy, 20, returned home to Thang Hung Dong village and saw her husband, Nguyen Huu Nam, 33, holding her three-year-old son. Upon checking, Thuy discovered multiple injuries on her son's face and neck.
Nam admitted to his wife that he had hit the boy and told her to take him to buy medicine. Afterward, Thuy took her son to her mother's home in Tan Lac village before reporting the incident to the police.
That same night, Bau Can Commune Police documented the boy's injuries, instructed the family to take the victim to the hospital for treatment, and launched a search for Nam.
Yesterday afternoon, the boy was admitted to Gia Lai Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for treatment. The boy's health is currently stable, and he is conscious.
On the morning of 28/7, Nam reported to the commune police, identifying himself as the victim's stepfather and admitting to slapping the boy's face and choking him.
