On 12/9, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police announced they had summoned Nguyen Huu Nghia, owner of the 'Bo doi U80' account and the Tue Minh Duong Club business household in Sam Son ward, for investigation into signs of customer deception.

Authorities seized relevant documents for the investigation. They have not yet disclosed the number of customers who allegedly purchased or used the products Nghia advised or introduced.

According to the police, in recent years, Nghia used Facebook and TikTok accounts under the name 'Bo doi U80' to advertise, advise, and instruct on the use of products he presented as "three-generation traditional oriental medicine." His social media accounts boast hundreds of thousands of followers.

Authorities determined Nghia possesses no formal qualifications, specialized training in oriental medicine, or a practicing license. Despite this, he regularly posted videos and livestreamed advice, offering treatment instructions to numerous online customers, while simultaneously selling traditional oriental medicine products he claimed could treat coughs, colds, and various other ailments.

Investigators believe these activities show signs of customer deception and are continuing their probe.

The Thanh Hoa Provincial Police urge anyone who received advice, referrals, or purchased and used traditional oriental medicine products from Nghia or the Tue Minh Duong Club to contact them and provide information to aid the ongoing investigation.
