On 16/3, Huynh Nhon, 39, was temporarily detained by Dak Lak Provincial Police for investigation after authorities determined the driver was operating an overloaded vehicle by nearly 50% and tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine (crystal meth).

According to the investigation, on the evening of 16/3, Nhon, residing in Quang Phu commune, was driving a truck carrying rubber latex on National Highway 29, heading from Pong Drang commune towards Ea Kiet commune. Upon reaching Pong Drang commune, the truck collided with three cars parked on the right side of the road.

Following the multi-vehicle collision, the truck continued forward, fatally striking Le Quoc Khanh, 21, a resident of Cu Pong commune, who was walking.
