Investigations revealed that on the evening of September 17th, Vuong was driving a truck on National Highway 14 from Gia Lai to Dak Lak. Upon reaching Cuor Dang commune, his truck collided with a motorbike driven by Nguyen Anh Tien, 45, carrying Nguyen Van Tham, 39, both from Dong Thap province.

Tham died at the scene, while Tien was seriously injured and taken to the hospital by bystanders.

Vuong drove away from the scene.

Police identified Vuong as the driver responsible for the accident. He confessed to stopping about 50 meters away, but upon seeing a crowd gathered, he panicked and left without assisting the victims.

Tests showed Vuong was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
