On 1/7, Minh was prosecuted and detained by Ho Chi Minh City Police for investigation into public disorder.
According to investigators, on 4/6, in the Sala urban area, An Khanh ward, Minh drove a Porsche, performing multiple "drifts" (steering to make the wheels slide) on a public road. His stated purpose was to demonstrate driving skills.
Residents recorded the incident, and the video circulated online, causing public outrage and concern.
Police stated this driving behavior "posed a high risk of accidents, directly threatening the lives and health of road users and those present in the area, while also disrupting local security and order."
During questioning, Minh admitted he was driving and performed the "drift" to showcase his personal skills.

Following the incident, Ho Chi Minh City Police advised residents against reckless driving, weaving, car drifting, wheelies, or illegal stunts on roads. They affirmed that any similar violations will be detected, investigated, and strictly handled to ensure public order and traffic safety.
