The beach cleanup, part of the "I Love Vietjet" program, began at 6 a.m. on 14/9. The event saw the participation of senior leaders and nearly 600 employees from various countries including Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Iceland, along with the airline's partners.

Vietjet's permanent deputy general director, To Viet Thang, stated that the action carries significant meaning, demonstrating Vietjet's commitment to sustainable development, spreading social responsibility, environmental protection, and connecting cultures between nations. "At Ha Long Bay, a symbol of Vietnam, we are working together to build a green, clean, and beautiful destination, realizing the country's green development goals," he said.

Since Vietjet's first flight over 10 years ago, sustainable and environmentally responsible growth has been a core part of its strategy and action plan.

"Activities such as operating fuel-efficient flights, reducing carbon emissions, using sustainable aviation fuel, participating in reforestation programs, and cleaning beaches demonstrate Vietjet's commitment to the country and the government on the journey towards Net Zero by 2050," the deputy general director emphasized.

Sirilak Kongthon from Vietjet Thailand (right) said this was her first time in Ha Long and she was excited to directly participate in the beach cleanup.

"I clearly feel the value of the natural heritage here and find it meaningful to join hands with my Vietnamese colleagues in keeping the beach clean and beautiful. For me, this is not only an environmental protection activity but also an opportunity to connect the culture and people between the countries where Vietjet is present," Sirilak Kongthon shared.

On the Vietjet Sports Day field, the borderless spirit of sports was connected and spread by Vietjet from the athletes to the sports fans. "Team spirit, determination, and winning smiles created a vibrant picture, serving as a meaningful cultural and sports bridge between nations and peoples," a Vietjet representative emphasized.(Photo: Vietjet)
