Central Retail launches over 3,000 Tet gift baskets

Consumers gain diverse gifting options as the retail system introduces gift baskets combining regional specialties with preferential prices.

Central Retail has introduced over 3,000 GO! private label Tet gift baskets for Vietnamese consumers this Lunar New Year. These products are available at GO!, Tops Market, and mini go! supermarkets, including: the Loc Tai Tet gift basket priced at 350,000 VND, the Tinh Hoa Tet Viet (Viet Gems) basket at 550,000 VND, and the Xuan Dai Phuc gift box at 450,000 VND.

The Viet Gems Tet gift basket specifically curates specialty products from regions across the country, such as: Viet Cuong sweet potato vermicelli (Thai Nguyen), mung bean cake (Hai Duong), Quy Thu grilled coconut cake (Da Nang), artichoke tea bags (Lam Dong), shelled cashew nuts (Binh Phuoc), coconut candy (Ben Tre), and fish sauce (Phu Quoc).

Beyond diverse flavors, each product in the gift basket carries a cultural narrative and the distinct culinary essence of its region. These baskets offer a meaningful way to convey wishes for reunion, prosperity, and connection during the upcoming traditional Tet holiday.

Nguyen Thi Bich Van, Communications Director for Central Retail Vietnam, stated that on National Day 2/9/2025, the company successfully organized the "Proud of Vietnamese Specialties" festival. This event promoted and honored 160 regional specialty products, offering consumers engaging shopping experiences.

"Building on the success of this event, we partnered with various suppliers to launch the 'Viet Gems' private label product line, which features regional specialties certified OCOP (One Commune One Product) with three stars or higher. This Tet season, Central Retail continues its strong promotion of Vietnamese products through these specialty Tet gift baskets", she said.

Additionally, GO! private label Tet gift baskets are currently offered with a discount policy, comprising: 8% for orders between 5 and 10 million VND; 9% for orders above 10 million VND up to 50 million VND; 9,5% for orders above 50 million VND up to 100 million VND; and 10% to 12% for orders exceeding 100 million VND up to 800 million VND.

A Central Retail representative stated that with attractive promotional prices and the uniqueness of regional specialties selected for each Tet gift basket, Central Retail anticipates positive purchasing outcomes. The 2026 private label Tet gift baskets, in particular, emphasize traditional values, aiming to meet the demands of domestic customers while also appealing to international visitors and overseas Vietnamese seeking products that distinctly represent Vietnam.
