During the parade rehearsal on the morning of 30/8, Vinh, dressed in his military uniform, stood beside his fiancee, Tuyet Ngan, who wore a white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress). They stood at attention, saluting as the soldiers marched past on Tran Phu Street.
Their special moment was met with support from onlookers, many of whom made way for them and offered congratulations. One soldier even made a finger heart gesture as a sign of good wishes.
"We are happy and proud to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment alongside such an important national event," Vinh said.

28-year-old Trinh Xuan Vinh, from Thanh Hoa, serves in the 925th Regiment, 372nd Division of the Air Defense - Air Force. His soon-to-be wife, 22-year-old Tuyet Ngan, lives in Ho Chi Minh City. The couple have been together for 4 years and plan to marry later this year.
They initially planned to have their wedding photos taken with the parade in Ho Chi Minh City during the 50th anniversary of Reunification, but couldn't due to scheduling conflicts. They chose the National Day parade rehearsal in Hanoi on 2/9 to avoid large crowds.

Vinh took two weeks' leave to return to Thanh Hoa, while Ngan flew in from Ho Chi Minh City. They both arrived in Hanoi on 29/8 to prepare. Their photography crew had already been on Tran Phu Street since 28/8 to secure a good spot.
Amidst heavy rain in Hanoi, the entire 32-person crew stayed up all night on 29/8 to prepare for the shoot.
"In 15 years in the business, we have never done a shoot as challenging yet as rewarding as this one," said Van Anh, a representative from the studio.
On her first visit to the capital, Tuyet Ngan was overwhelmed by the patriotic atmosphere. "Being among the crowd, singing patriotic songs, and seeing the streets adorned with flags was an unforgettable experience," she said.
The video of Vinh and Ngan's photoshoot went viral on social media, receiving thousands of well wishes.

Vinh and Ngan met through social media. The key to their 4-year long-distance relationship is understanding and trust. Due to the nature of his military service, Vinh cannot use his phone regularly, but he always tries to contact his girlfriend whenever he has a break. Ngan has been a strong support system, always understanding of his work.
After their memorable photoshoot, the couple stayed in Hanoi to watch the official parade and visit historical sites. Vinh will soon return to his unit to report and complete the marriage registration process, preparing for their wedding later this year.
