FPT and LG create 'smart classrooms' for 80 disadvantaged schools

The "Connecting Knowledge - Strengthening the Future" program, launched by FPT and LG on 5/9, is donating 80 smart TVs, installing high-speed internet, and providing television service to 80 disadvantaged schools.

The two companies are donating LG Smart AI 4K TVs, FPT Internet systems, and FPT television services to 80 elementary and middle schools in remote and underserved areas.

Large-screen, high-resolution TVs help bring lessons to life. Meanwhile, FPT Internet, utilizing Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, and XGS-PON technology, offers speeds of up to 10 Gbps and supports 100 simultaneous connections. This solution improves internet access for students and schools, facilitating online classes, access to international educational resources, and learning applications.

Additionally, the educational and entertainment content from FPT Play Television allows students to "learn through play, play through learning". The program is also donating 180 backpacks, pens, and notebooks to underprivileged students in the local communities.

During the opening week of the school year, the program was implemented in schools in Quang Tri, Kien Giang, and Dien Bien provinces. Khuong Cao Quyen, Principal of Tia Dinh Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding Middle School, expressed his gratitude for the equipment provided by FPT and LG. He considers these tools valuable assets, enabling teachers to enhance their teaching effectiveness and increasing student engagement. "This makes teaching and learning more flexible and appealing, helping students absorb knowledge more easily, especially through visual and dynamic images," Quyen said.

Tran Thi Thu Trang, Director of Communications and Marketing at FPT Telecom, FPT Corporation, believes that investing in education is investing in the nation's future. Providing children with access to modern knowledge will transform schools and classrooms while building a foundation for the country's digital workforce.

"We want to bring technology alongside knowledge, so that whether in remote mountains or urban areas, every child has the right to learn in a safe, modern, and inspiring environment. This is the mission FPT is committed to pursuing, using technology to build happiness and develop the community," Trang said.

Sharing this view, a representative from LG Electronics Vietnam emphasized that LG's smart AI TVs will become "companions" for students, sparking their passion for learning. "This gift aims towards a brighter future. This is also the Life's Good motto that LG is striving for," the representative said.
