Hanoi parents queue for Kun Marathon 2025 bibs

Hundreds of parents braved 14 degrees Celsius cold, arriving at Thong Nhat Park early on 28/11, eager to collect bibs and race kits for children participating in Kun Marathon.

Kun Marathon, a free race for children aged 6-10, began distributing bibs and race kits to parents on 28/11. Hundreds of parents started queuing at 8 am, lining up at designated counters based on their children's birth years to finalize registration.

Parents presented QR codes at the counters for verification. Volunteers then provided bibs and race kits, comprising a shirt, cap, and milk to fuel the children during the race.

First held in Ha Noi in 2020, this marks the fifth edition of Kun Marathon. The event takes place in the Tran Nhan Tong street area, offering various entertainment activities for children alongside the main race.

Van Anh from Ha Noi collected bibs for her two children, Duc Long and Tue Anh. She noted her familiarity with Kun Marathon for several years, but this year marked her children's eligibility to participate. On 21/11, she prepared early to secure their registration slots. "This engaging activity helps children embrace physical activity and fosters greater confidence as they grow. My two children were thrilled to learn they could join," Van Anh stated.

After collecting the bibs, Van Anh meticulously organized the items for inspection, taking photos to share with friends. Following her children's participation in Kun Marathon, she will run 21 km at VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2025 the next day.

Three cousins were registered by Tu Phi Bien from Ha Dong. He shared that his two children participated last season, enjoying the competition with their friends. This year, he also registered his niece/nephew.

"This activity helps children connect with peers, and Ha Noi's weather this season is also ideal for outdoor activities," Bien remarked.

Three children from the Phu Luong Runners Club checked in after collecting their bibs. They confirmed extensive training in the days leading up to the race, each aiming for a first-place finish.

Over five seasons, parents have lauded Kun Marathon Ha Noi as a dedicated sports festival for children aged 6-10. Beyond promoting physical activity, the event provides a vibrant social environment, helping children grow more confident, independent, and develop a lasting love for sports.

Kun Marathon Ha Noi 2025 kicks off at 7 am on 29/11, located in the Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street area. The nearly 1 km race course features various physical challenges. In addition to running, 2,000 participating children will have the opportunity to meet NSND Xuan Bac and other popular Youtubers and TikTokers.
