Jiang's marriage ended in 2022. In the divorce settlement, he left all his assets to his wife and two sons, keeping only his car.
In September 2024, Jiang remarried. His eldest son, Runze, continued to visit him and ask for money. During one argument, Runze blurted out, "You are not my father".
Suspicious, Jiang secretly took Runze's toothbrush for a DNA test, which revealed they were not biologically related. A subsequent test confirmed his second son was also not his.
"My ex-wife caused me tremendous pain," Jiang said. His parents also expressed their heartbreak after learning the children they had helped raise for over 20 years were not their grandchildren.

Jiang is suing his ex-wife, seeking 100,000 CNY for emotional distress and reimbursement of 300,000 CNY for child support and education expenses. "I also want to sever all ties with my ex-wife and the two children," Jiang said.
His ex-wife has rejected the claim for reimbursement of child support, only accepting the "emotional distress" clause according to local standards and proposing to annul the divorce agreement.
The court confirmed neither son is biologically related to Jiang, but has not yet issued a final ruling.
On 24/8, Runze posted a video claiming the court was biased towards Jiang and announced he had cut ties with the family. Runze offered well wishes to Jiang and his new wife, hoping they would treat his paternal grandparents well.
