The 300-meter-long mural, located on Nguyen Huu Canh Street, has received the record for "Largest 'Beautiful Vietnam'-themed mural in Vietnam". This mural project was created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of August Revolution (19/8/1945) and National Day (2/9/1945). The artwork encircles the Botanical Gardens, depicting 36 scenes: from fighter jets taking off against the Bien Hoa sky, the parade of vehicles and tanks, to Ho Chi Minh City's landmarks illuminated by fireworks at Ben Bach Dang Wharf.

The sequence of images closely follows the recent April 30th parade, evoking a sense of realism for viewers. The team observed rehearsals firsthand, consulted photo and video archives, and reviewed artwork related to the 50th reunification anniversary. This research allowed them to capture the vibrant atmosphere and symbolic details of each scene.

The execution phase presented many challenges. The original wall surface was uneven, with ridges, cracks, and peeling areas. The artists had to treat, clean, and create a stable foundation for the paint to adhere and display true color. The layout was also adjusted to ensure seamless visuals and harmonious integration of characters and scenery, despite the wall's complex topography.

Small details like the soldiers' faces, uniforms, and military equipment required meticulousness and creativity from the artists. They had to ensure accuracy while conveying the spirit and meaning of each element across hundreds of meters.

Ho Chi Minh City's unpredictable weather, with its alternating rain and sunshine, also impacted the project's timeline. The team had to divide the project into smaller phases and work flexibly to avoid interruptions. This ensures the mural's durability, easy maintenance, and vibrant colors despite harsh weather.

On 19/8, the "Beautiful Vietnam" mural on Nguyen Huu Canh Street will be officially completed. It will become a large-scale artistic landmark, contributing to the city's beauty, preserving historical values, and spreading patriotism across generations. This is the 20th project in the mural series by Nippon Paint in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Police, covering a total area of nearly 3,000 m2.
