Over 200 tons of goods transported free of charge to flood-affected areas by Vietjet

More than 200 tons of goods, including food and essential supplies, have been transported free of charge by Vietjet from various locations to the South Central provinces.

The South Central region is currently recovering from the impact of storms and floods. In response, people nationwide prepared mosquito nets, blankets, mats, instant noodles, cakes, rice, medicines, and clothes to send to affected localities. Vietjet has contributed by operating free flights to deliver relief goods to the storm-hit areas.

As of november 26, the airline had transported over 200 tons of goods and hundreds of relief packages. These included essential supplies such as food, clothes, gas stoves, blankets, medicines, medical equipment, life jackets, and flashlights, delivered to residents in Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa provinces.

According to a Vietjet representative, each shipment represents an effort to provide timely support to the people in the Central region, fostering a spirit of solidarity and sharing within the community. Immediately after the campaign launched on october 31, many residents brought goods to the airport for delivery to the flood-stricken areas.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu from Hanoi shared that whenever floods hit the Central region, seeing devastated homes and cold, hungry residents prompts her to send essential supplies to donation groups. "When I learned Vietjet offered free same-day transportation, I contacted them immediately, hoping my small contribution reaches those who need it most", Tu said.

Sharing a similar sentiment, Nguyen Thi Phuong from Bac Ninh expressed initial concern that goods might not arrive in time due to cut-off roads in the Central region. However, seeing Vietjet accept free shipments and arrange same-day flights reassured her. "Watching the goods being packed and loaded onto the plane on time brought a huge sense of relief", Phuong stated.

In parallel with the relief flights, over 8,000 Vietjet staff members, both domestically and internationally, held a second internal fundraising drive. The total amount raised, combined with contributions from employees' daily wages, reached 5 billion VND, which will be sent to the people in the Central region.

According to the airline's representative, this spirit of contribution has become a cultural hallmark of Vietjet, rekindled whenever the country faces difficulties. Beyond material support, it embodies the humanitarian values, connection, and mutual support that the airline has maintained for many years.

Vietjet consistently places people at its core, with the spirit of sharing as a fundamental value in all operations. Each relief flight carries hope, encouragement, and human kindness to regions needing assistance. With Vietjet's compassionate spirit, the airline believes that community collaboration will help the storms soon pass, allowing smiles to return to the kind faces of the Central region.
