TCL has introduced the Care Aura DD Inverter, its first washer-dryer combo in the Vietnamese market. Partnering with TikTok Shop for distribution, TCL is targeting younger consumers with this appliance, which boasts a 10.5 kg washing capacity and a 7 kg drying capacity. The manufacturer highlights the machine's 60-minute wash and dry cycle, among the fastest on the market, ideal for loads of about four t-shirts.
TCL emphasizes that this rapid wash and dry cycle caters to the time constraints of modern consumers. Beyond speed, the company prioritizes health-conscious technology. The Care Aura DD Inverter incorporates steam wash technology, eliminating 99.99% of bacteria and fine dust. Additionally, the high-temperature EBS sterilization system and the Drum Clean function (self-cleaning drum) help prevent bacteria growth and extend the machine's lifespan.

Another key feature is the Smart DD Motor, a direct-drive inverter motor typically found in high-end models. This motor connects directly to the drum, eliminating the need for a belt. According to Nguyen Quang Duy from TCL's retail training department, this design enhances operational efficiency while reducing vibration and noise, increasing durability, and saving energy and water. The machine's energy consumption is 5.54 Wh/kg, and TCL offers a remarkable 20-year warranty on the motor, one of the longest available.
Thanks to the DD Inverter motor, the Care Aura utilizes Magic Flow, offering eight water flow patterns that mimic hand-washing motions. This is combined with the Honeycomb Drum, featuring micro-holes to effectively remove stains while protecting fabric fibers.

Beyond its core technologies, the TCL Care Aura DD Inverter offers several convenient features, including a child lock that disables all buttons (except the power button) for safety. The lock is activated by pressing the "Rinse" and "Delay" buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Users can also add clothes mid-cycle with the Add Garment feature. The Quick Wash mode efficiently handles lightly soiled clothes, saving time and reducing energy and water consumption compared to a standard cycle.
Yi Pengwei, General Director of TCL Vietnam, stated that modern families need a washing machine that is both fast and effective in cleaning and safety. The Care Aura DD Inverter was designed to meet these needs. "This machine washes and dries in just one hour, while also protecting health and preserving clothes," he said.
The launch also marks TCL's expansion into the home appliance sector in Vietnam. The company estimates the market for 9-11 kg front-loading washing machines to be around 500,000 units annually, with a growth rate of approximately 25%. TCL aims to sell 5,000 Care Aura DD Inverter units this year, capturing about 1% of the market share.

To achieve this, TCL has partnered with TikTok Shop and various key opinion leaders (KOLs) to promote the product to Vietnamese consumers. The company recognizes the rapid growth of e-commerce in Vietnam, particularly among young shoppers, making it an ideal platform to reach its target audience.
The Care Aura DD Inverter launched on e-commerce platforms (TikTok Shop, Shopee) on 9/9 with a promotional price of 7.99 million VND during September. The listed price is 14.99 million VND, representing a nearly 50% discount for the launch month. According to TCL, this special pricing demonstrates appreciation for Vietnamese consumers, recognizing Vietnam as a key market for the brand globally.
