After their November 2021 wedding, Michelle and her husband John tried to identify the stranger in their photos, but their family, friends, and even the wedding vendors were clueless. Recently, Michelle enlisted the help of a YouTuber and TV presenter with hundreds of thousands of followers, sharing her Facebook post and asking for help from the online community.

Within two hours, the man was identified as 33-year-old Andrew Helliman, a furniture maker from South Ayrshire. "My friend was the best man at another wedding that day, and I was invited to join him," Andrew explained. "He told me to go to the Carlton Hotel in Prestwick, but he was actually the best man at the Great Western Hotel in Ayr." "When the music started and the bride walked in, I realized I was at the wrong wedding," he added.
Andrew remained seated for 20 minutes, not wanting to disrupt the ceremony. Once it concluded, he quietly slipped out to attend the correct wedding.
While Andrew admitted to worrying that "this day would come," Michelle and John found the whole situation amusing. "I couldn't stop laughing when I heard the story," Michelle said. "You rarely encounter situations like this in life."

After Andrew's explanation, the two parties met in person. They had a pleasant conversation and promised to stay in touch.
Michelle said her wedding day was already perfect, but this incident made it even more memorable. "This is a story I'll be telling for years to come," she shared.
