Speeding violations accounted for 13,000 cases, according to the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security.
Beyond these common offenses, traffic police addressed other dangerous behaviors. These included overloading cargo, oversized loads, and 21 cases of drug-impaired drivers. Carrying too many passengers, improper passenger pickup and drop-off, and using a phone while driving also led to strict penalties during this period.
Enforcement actions included deducting points from driver's licenses in nearly 8,000 cases. Authorities also temporarily seized 277 cars and over 13,000 motorbikes.
On highways, Traffic Police Department patrol teams issued violation notices to 1,400 cases. In Hanoi, AI cameras recorded nearly 1,000 violations during the four-day holiday, with 347 instances of driving against traffic and 306 red light violations.

On waterways, police inspected, detected, and recorded 799 violations, temporarily seizing three vehicles. On railways, 366 violations were recorded, and three vehicles were temporarily seized.
Regarding traffic accidents, the four-day holiday saw 177 accidents nationwide, resulting in 95 deaths and 114 injuries. This represented a notable decrease from the same period in 2025: 72 fewer accidents, 35 fewer fatalities, and 65 fewer injuries.
Roads accounted for 176 accidents, causing 94 deaths and 114 injuries. This was a reduction of 71 accidents, 35 deaths, and 41 injuries compared to 2025. Railways reported one accident, resulting in one fatality. Waterways had no accidents.
