Two-story house collapses, one person trapped

A two-story house in Binh Khe ward unexpectedly collapsed completely during renovations, trapping three people. Authorities have rescued two individuals.

On the afternoon of 3/5, Bui Trieu Duong, Chairman of Binh Khe Ward People's Committee, stated that around 4 p.m. on the same day, a two-story house (formerly a bubble tea shop) in Trang An area, which was undergoing first-floor renovations in preparation for business rental, suddenly collapsed.

The incident unfolded rapidly, leaving three people working inside no time to escape. The collapse buried them under a large amount of bricks, stones, and concrete.

Authorities and residents rescued two people, who were then taken to a medical center for emergency treatment. "Currently, one man is still trapped inside the rubble, and we are mobilizing all resources to search for this victim," Duong stated.

By late afternoon, the search for the last victim was still ongoing. Authorities are also sealing off the scene to clarify the cause of the incident.
