The Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) reported a decrease of 45 incidents and 44 fatalities compared to the same period in 2025, though injuries rose by 17. All accidents occurred on roadways; no incidents were recorded on railways or waterways.
Ho Chi Minh City recorded the highest number of accidents with 34 incidents, followed by Dong Nai with 15, Hanoi with 13, and Phu Tho with 12. Hai Phong and Thanh Hoa each reported 10 incidents, while Da Nang and Lam Dong each had 8. Ho Chi Minh City also experienced the highest number of fatalities with 17 deaths, followed by Dong Nai with 11 and Hanoi with 9.

The primary causes of these accidents were drivers' failure to observe, not reducing speed to a safe level, and driving in the wrong lane. Other contributing factors included improper lane changes, illegal overtaking, speeding violations, and not maintaining a safe distance.
During the four-day holiday, traffic police nationwide inspected and handled over 40,000 violations. They temporarily seized over 400 otos and over 11,000 motos. The main violations involved alcohol concentration and speeding.
