On the morning of 24/9, Binh Long Ward Police announced the discovery of the body of Tran Thi Bich Lien, 46, a resident of An Loc ward. She had been swept away by floodwaters with her car two days prior. The car remains unfound, and authorities continue their search and recovery efforts.

Previously, Lien was driving her car on Su Van Hanh street, Xa Cam neighborhood, heading from Tan Khai to An Loc during heavy rain. Upon reaching the So Nhi dam area, strong upstream currents swept her car into Xa Cat Lake. Several witnesses attempted to reach and rescue the victim but were unsuccessful.

Authorities mobilized hundreds of officials, soldiers, civil defense personnel, and residents for the search, utilizing drones for assistance. However, heavy rain and the expansive lake surface complicated rescue operations.

In recent days, heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding in many residential areas and roads in Dong Nai. In some parts of Bien Hoa and Binh Long, swift currents swept away numerous motorbikes.
