Around 9:10 PM, a fire erupted at a diaper manufacturing plant in Son Dong commune, Hanoi. Due to the abundance of flammable materials inside, the flames quickly engulfed the entire structure. The factory glowed red, emitting a large column of smoke that rose tens of meters into the sky.

At least 10 fire trucks from Police Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team (PCCC&CNCH) areas 15 and 23, along with dozens of firefighters, were deployed to the scene.
By 10:30 PM, authorities were still using high-pressure hoses to extinguish the fire. A section of the factory had already collapsed.
