Three days prior, the girl was playing with friends by a stream near her home when sudden floodwaters from upstream swept her away.
Over the past few days, hundreds of police and military personnel, alongside local residents, conducted a search along a more than 4 km stretch of B'Nor B stream.
Task forces meticulously checked drainage culverts and bushes along the stream. They also used excavators to dig at landslide sites where the victim was suspected of being trapped, but these efforts yielded no results.
Rescue teams today deployed rubber boats and motorboats to search Dan Kia lake, where the stream flows, ultimately leading to the discovery of the girl's body.
Da Lat is currently in its rainy season, experiencing localized heavy rainfall during noon and afternoon hours. This has caused water levels in small rivers and streams to rise rapidly and flow swiftly.
