The Da Ong Dia beach area in Phan Thiet has been transformed into a new park, offering a sea-facing square, children's play area, and outdoor sports facilities. The 1,2 ha park, developed with an investment of 11 billion VND, was inaugurated on the evening of 29/8. Funded through a socialized investment model with support from a real estate enterprise, the project aims to enhance community life and boost tourism.
Located along the Phan Thiet - Mui Ne road at the public Da Ong Dia beach in Phu Thuy ward, the park's centerpiece is a spacious sea-facing square. This area, complemented by a newly renovated stone embankment, provides an ideal venue for festivals, cultural events, and community gatherings. The park is divided into four functional zones: a fishing village food area, tree-lined walking paths, a marine life-themed children's play zone, and an outdoor sports area.

Preserving its local cultural heritage, the Ong Dia temple and the traditional basket boat mooring area for local fishermen remain intact within the new public space. For over ten years, Da Ong Dia has been a popular spot, known for its public beach, fishing activities, and the Ong Dia temple, which holds significance in the folk beliefs of coastal residents. A breakwater constructed more than ten years ago to protect the beach has contributed to the area's appeal, making it a familiar destination for visitors to capture photos along the Phan Thiet - Mui Ne tourist route.
