On 23/9, Dong Nai police, alongside Binh Long ward People's Committee and local residents, launched a search for a woman believed to be missing after her car was swept away by floodwaters following heavy rain on the evening of 22/9.

Around 18:00 on 22/9, heavy rain fell across the northern part of Dong Nai city (formerly Binh Phuoc), causing strong currents from upstream streams to surge into the residential areas of Binh Long ward.

On Su Van Hanh street in Xa Cam neighborhood, residents observed a white 5-seater car being swept into a stream by swift currents as it attempted to cross the road. They promptly reported the incident to authorities.

Binh Long ward police, in collaboration with search and rescue forces, military personnel, civil defense, and other relevant units, initiated a search operation for the missing person in the area. However, their efforts have yet to yield results. Heavy rainfall significantly hampered the vehicle recovery operation.

In recent days, a tropical convergence zone, coupled with a low-pressure system moving inland from the sea, has brought substantial rainfall to the Southern region, including Dong Nai.
