General Secretary attends inauguration ceremony of president Ho Chi Minh memorial house

On the morning of 31/1, General Secretary To Lam and a working delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the president Ho Chi Minh memorial house at E2 Hill relic, Dien Bien Phu ward.

Also present at the inauguration were Bui Thi Minh Hoai, president of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Tran Sy Thanh, chairman of the Central Inspection Commission; Trinh Van Quyet, head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission; Pham Gia Tuc, chief of the Central Party Office; Phan Van Giang, minister of National Defense; and Luong Tam Quang, minister of Public Security.

General Secretary To Lam and the working delegation offered flowers and incense in commemoration of president Ho Chi Minh.

The memorial house project, with a total investment of 35 billion VND supported by TP HCM, began construction in mid-2025. The 160 square meter structure features a rectangular layout and two-tiered roof architecture, comprising five sections, six rows of interior columns, and two rows of porch columns. A censer made of natural stone stands at the front.

The bronze statue of president Ho Chi Minh, 1,33 meters tall and weighing over 500 kilograms, depicts him seated calmly, gazing upon the nation.

Several other auxiliary structures were built, including the Left and Right Pavilions positioned symmetrically in a traditional layout; a stone ceremonial gate; an internal courtyard and pathways; retaining walls; railings; and green landscaping reflecting the image and life of president Ho Chi Minh.

Earlier that day, General Secretary To Lam and the central working delegation also offered flowers and incense in commemoration of martyrs at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs' Temple and A1 National Martyrs' Cemetery. Later on the same day, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation attended the inauguration of the Si Pa Phin Inter-level Primary - Secondary School.
